2012: The Year of FOCUS!
Last year if you submitted to the Lord you will agree with me when I say it was a challenge. We experienced separation from many things that were pleasing to our flesh as well as a disconnection between our friends/acquaintances. We spent countless days and weeks feeling lost and even empty. Do you remember the days when you felt as though there was no one to talk to? Many people wanted to befriend us but the connection did not have the approval of the Holy Ghost. This is NOT to say those were bad people but consider this, maybe they were not ordained to walk with you in this season! This year we must steady our faith and focus on all that God wants us to do. Focus is the first-cousin to Submission! After we have released our will to the Lord, we are now ready to focus on what He wants us to do! Praise God…every challenge you faced last year was needed to make the victory sweeter this year. This is not the year to wait on God without Faith; this is the year to Focus and move forward! I smell “victory”! I am excited because this is the year I get promoted to age 50 (catch your jaw…it’s about to fall on the floor)! Reaching age 50 is a milestone for many Kingdom Citizens! When you search the Bible you will find a great Biblical account for 50. Pentecost was manifested in the earth realm in Acts 2:2! If like me you are reaching age 50 this year, I’ve got some declarations for you: Increased Love – that you will increase in your love for God, yourself, as well others. (Matthew 22:37-40) Peace (Shalom) – that you will increase in perfect peace, wholeness, and soundness in your heart and mind, in all your ways, and in every situation. (Numbers 6:26; 2 Peter 1:2) Increased Wisdom – you will increase in wisdom from above because we love wisdom and ask for wisdom. (James 1:5) Increased Grace – you will increase in the grace of God that enables you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. (John 1:16; Philippians 2:13)

This is going to be an “Epic (unusually great size or extent) Year! The challenges of last year were the training ground for advancement to where we are going. I believe this is the year that God will allow what He has already done in “eternity” to shift into time. My pastor says “when eternity is shifted into time that means what has already been in the Spirit realm will now be manifested in the natural realm”. Jeremiah 29:11 says ”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Don’t quit…God has desired to bless you before you were even formed! Don’t quit, you are closer than you think.
